Hello! I heard about this from Secret Crafties on Facebook! I am interested in being apart of The Upcycle Exchange.

Faux Front is just that, a "fake" front....a bib that looks like a tank top, dress top, tux vest, etc.

Aside from The Aesthetic Appeal,
The Function (the fit) is Unique!
- Patent Pending-

The original design of the Faux Front opens at the back, via snaps,
so it's ready to slip on (one arm through each arm hole). Secure the snaps, and you're done. There are two design functions - a Wrap Top Faux Front, and additional snaps under the arms to allow "over-the-head" access.

Take a look at my Etsy shop and Facebook Page for images of my work!

Thank you,
     Veronica

Will you charge a fee for the craft classes? What type of equipment will be in your lab? Will the shared studio space be a place for us to come and work in? Will there be a fee for that as well? I'm so excited about the new changes.
Thanks,
Laurie

I have missed you since closing to move. I'm sure your new location is going to be fabulous. I'm so excited for you. Can't wait to see the new store.
I gave Siteman Cancer Center's Art Center the Cuddlebug I got from your store. They were thrilled to get it. Patients can't have real flowers. She bought flower and leaf dies for it and is making felt flowers for the patients. They are so cool. But I love felt anything. LOL
Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful store. I love the face we are recycling. I hate wasting and throwing stuff out that can be reused by someone.

Recently I was at an indie craft fair in Owensboro Kentucky, and had a conversation about your store with one of the vendors from Louisville. She had never heard of anything like it, and thought it was a great idea for crafters like herself who use "throw away" supplies. Hopefully, over time your ideas will catch on. And will be the rule, rather than the exception!

Hi Abbie, Sorry I did not see this earlier! We DO carry old books, that have what we would consider cool content for mixed media. Many older children's books for sure!

Just found you guys on the Strange Folk Festival page! I live just across the river in Il and I can't to get to the shop and bring some crazy stuff my grandmother gave me that I'll never use!
Do you guys carry old books? To be specific old school readers or childrens books? I use those in my mixed media pieces.

Hi Monica,

Since it's pay-as-you-wish, any type of discount or credit is difficult. Obviously, we wouldn't be able to stay open on a trading basis alone. I just tell people that if you bring stuff into the store, and you want to buy stuff too, then give yourself a discount off what you would pay, that you feel is fair. If you bring in a lot, and self discount for your next few visits, that's totally reasonable as well.
The plain and simple of it is that we are completely hands-off with the pricing. There was high demand for a reference point from the get-go, hence the broad suggested pricing, but we TOTALLY leave it up to you in the end.

I understand where you are coming from though! I think if anyone wants to go the route of trying to sell their supplies, there are a lot of ways to do that (Ebay, Etsy, yard sale, etc.). Upcycle is just very unique - value is completely determined by the buyer, not the seller.

Thank you for the suggestion though! I have thought about this a lot, but I'll give it some more thought :)
