The Upcycle Exchange, in partnership with Finder’s Hive, is excited to announce a series of upcoming bookmaking workshops taught by Laura Anderson!
You’ll have access to an abundant variety of cool paper and vintage ephemera collected by The Upcycle Exchange, but you are welcome to bring your own special scraps as well! Laura is an attentive teacher who will guide you through simple bookbinding techniques that are adaptable to a wide range of materials. Feel free to bring drawings, stories, poems, comics,or any paper creation wanting a binding, and all additional materials will be provided. A suggested $2-$10 donation would benefit Finders Hive and C.A.M.P., but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. RSVP helpful, but not required. To RSVP, or for more info, contact: Laura Anderson at lalarky@gmail.com

The discarded and forgotten
the bits and pieces
found tucked away in attics and basements
picked from alleyways and dumpsters
will be re-discovered, re-purposed, and re-created
into journals and sketchbooks, notebooks and storybooks
uniquely handbound to hold our stories and dreams
visions and schemes.
Don’t forget to check out The Upcycle Exchange’s Wish-list and see if there is anything you’d like to purge that would be useful to other artists! We’ll be accepting donations, as we do every Sunday, at Finder’s Hive!
